My family loves burgers! I usually have it on the menu at least once a week. Tonight I decided to change things up a bit. Instead of making individual burgers for us, I made a huge one. I really didn't know how it would turn out but I was willing to try. I'm not a fan of raw meat on my hands, so only making one was a huge bonus for me!❤️

Here's the recipe. I hope y'all enjoy!

I didn't get a picture of the ingredients. I decided to write something up after I had already started. But here's a list of what I used.

3lbs Ground Beef
1 Sweet Pepper
1 Bell Pepper
1 Onion
8 Slices of Turkey Bacon
Cheddar Cheese (as much as you want)
Mozzarella Cheese (as much as you want)
Any seasonings you prefer for your burger. I use pepper and garlic salt.

First I chopped up my peppers and onions. I sauteed them in butter.

While those were cooking, I made a basket with my bacon and popped them in the oven at 450°. I cooked them until they were crispy to my liking. I had them in the oven when I decided to take pictures and write something up. IMG_20180110_164228522.jpg

I seasoned the beef and mixed it together. I took half of the beef and rolled it into a circle as best as I could. IMG_20180110_164417073.jpg

I placed it inside the cast iron skillet and patted it out. I basically made it into a pie crust. IMG_20180110_165004566.jpg

I then spread a mixture of the cheeses on top of the beef. We like cheese...alot!

Next came the peppers and onions.

Next came the bacon.

More peppers and onions. Then more cheese. Next time I think I will add the onions and peppers first. Then the cheese. Basically just switch the order of the peppers and cheese.

I took the other half of beef and rolled it out. Placed it on top and pinched the sides together. IMG_20180110_170531196.jpg

I cooked it for about 15 minutes. And then flipped it. Flipping was a little tricky. I poured out any grease that was in the pan. I placed a platter on top and turned it quickly. Thankfully it fell right out and it wasn't stuck to the bottom of my skillet. IMG_20180110_171435306.jpg

I let it cook for 15 minutes on that side. I put the skillet in the oven on 375° for 30 minutes. My ground beef was pretty lean. So I didn't have a whole lot of grease, what I did have I just poured out carefully. I didn't want the grease going over in the oven and making a mess.

I also made some cheesy asparagus and a salad for side dishes.

Everything was keto friendly. I love that we can have some of our favorite things but just in a different way.

Thanks for reading! Let me know what you think. ❤️

It was! We had left overs for today too. Just as good.

That looks like a winner of a meal!

They both asked me to make it again. So I would say it's a winner!
