My dear foodies,

Today I bring you one of the most popular dishes of Italian food, it is not necessary to bring products of animal origin, so we will make our own vegan version that will provide a powerful taste competitive to any Italian dish with ingredients of animal origin, today we will prepare some delicious vegan gnocchi with a delicious tomato sauce.
The gnocchi in my opinion are more popular than the same pizza in Italian cuisine, the same happens with polenta, pizza and pasta enjoys better international projection.

The star ingredient in this recipe will be the potatoes ingredient with which the gnocchi are originally prepared. Join me in preparing this delicious Italian recipe in an exquisite vegan version.

My secrets INGREDIENTS

(for 4 portions):

♡ 1 kg of potatoes (about 5 or 6 potatoes not too big)

♡ 200 gr. of flour (approximately)

♡ Crushed tomato

♡ Vegetable cream

♡ Oil, salt and parsley

Preparation time: 20min
Cooking time: 50min
Total: 70min

The first step is to wash the potatoes thoroughly before starting the preparation, be sure to wash them well and remove any traces of soil.

Then we will choose the best pot wave that we have put enough water and heat up to the boiling point, and throw the potatoes without peeling their skin, we must leave enough time to be well cooked. We reserve to let it warm to room temperature, although you can also use the potatoes when they are warm.

After cooking the potatoes we will proceed to remove the skin, and then we will devote ourselves to crush with the help of a potato masher until we get a pure, we will immediately add the flour, and begin to knead, it is not necessary to throw all the flour, ration the portions while we are kneading until we get a manageable consistency, for this step we must not allow the end of kneading the dough to stick from our hands. This will indicate that we still have to add flour and knead a little more.

The traditional way to make gnocchi is with a fork, so stretch the dough and cut it into small pieces, and with the help of the fork we will step on each of the pieces cut to give it its traditional rounded shape.

When we finish with each one of the gnocchi we reserve, and in the same pot where we cook the potatoes, we will fill it with enough water and we will take to high fire, once this boiling the water we will add the gnocchi, you can add all at the same time or for part, for being a preparation of fresh mass, when we incorporate to the pot all the gnocchi will remain in the bottom, and when they are ready it will realize because they will be floating, immediately remove them and put them in a strainer.

Now it is the turn of the sauce that is simple and will serve as a base for our gnocchi, choose your best frying pan, put a little olive oil when it is hot, we only have to add the crushed tomato and vegetable cream, and only about 5 minutes will be enough for our sauce to be sealed and ready to serve, add a little parsley as an option.
