Today's Sustainable Feast in the Garden of EdensteemCreated with Sketch.

It's another delightful day in the Garden of Eden, and we're sharing another delightful feast!

We LOVE food! It is a foundational part of what we do daily. Yes we feed thousands of free meals to people, but we also love to feast in our community together regularly.

We do all of our cooking outdoors over fire, using rocket stoves that we built by hand from dirt. We burn "trash" wood that was otherwise destined for the landfill. Between cooking and composting, our food reality is a huge aspect of how we save 350,000 pounds of trash from the landfill every year!

We make a feast almost every day, some more elaborate than others. We consistently have an abundance of food, and that food is always sustainable.

Today we had a lovely meal of pan seared fish, peppers and onions, fried potatoes, brussels sprouts, and garden salad!

Our huge salad had a variety of fresh veggies including red and yellow cherry tomatoes, cucumbers, yellow squash, mushrooms, and broccoli.

We also included some green beans in the mix on top of our fresh garden greens. All those bright colors are not only beautiful but are also indicative of high nutritional content! Green plants have lots of chlorophyll, which is very beneficial to health in the human body.

We love mushrooms around here, and we have lots of them! We enjoyed them in the salad today and also as a nice sautéed side dish with onions and herbs right from the garden.

Brussels sprouts are another Eden Knight favorite! These tiny little cuties are related to cabbage, kale, broccoli, and cauliflower, and they have a lot of the same nutritious elements. They contain vitamins C, K, and some Bs, as well as fiber, choline, copper, potassium, phosphorous, and even omega 3 fatty acids!

We made some sautéed onions and bell peppers too. Onions serve as the base for lots our dishes; they add a lot of flavor and are super anti-microbial!

For our meat eaters, we offered a light white fish as the main dish. We sprinkled it with lots of flavorful spices including paprika, black pepper, and red pepper flakes and plenty of salt, along with fresh garden herbs like thyme, oregano, and rosemary! It was flaky, tender, slightly crispy, and yummy yummy yummy!!!

This is FREE, super high vibe cuisine, and we do it every single day.

Food is important and we hope to inspire people to really take time to eat, enjoy it, and share it with someone you love. We also hope to  inspire more and more sustainable practices in regards to  food.

Yeah @qiqi-power!!!!!!

Yummy! Delicious! :D You should try to make (maybe you already tried) sweet potato and peanut butter brownies with a lot of raw cocoa and a little of maple syrup for sweetness, it's excellent desert, healthy and so creamy, yummy! :D

That's a recipe I would post about... What's the ratio of peanut butter to sweet potato? Sounds delicious!

Sounds good! We have lots of sweet potatoes in the fall. Right now our community is following an anti-candida diet , and we're avoiding peanut butter and sweeteners while we're on it, but we love to experiment with recreating classic dishes to be healthier!

very nice dishes.

Indeed! It's another great meal!

I love cherry tomatoes and mushrooms:3 I do not even need dishes, because there are them in their pure form also cool.

Hello friend @gardenofeden, well done 👍🏽, I tell you; you are a genius and vegans can never throw stones on you!

What % of your produce would you say comes from the garden? Or is it 100% at this point?
