Hi Friends... Today here I am with this yummy breakfast recipe, which is very nutritious and very tasty too...
Ingredients :
Whole Moong (whole green gram) - 1cup.
Wash and soak it for 6 to 8 hours, drain access water, keep covered for anther 6 or 8 hours for sprouting..
Now pressure cook this sprouted Moong till it is soft..
To prepare a Upma, we need the following ingredients for seasoning.
Coconut oil - 1table spoon.
Onion - 1(medium size)
Mustard - 1 spoon.
Green chilly - 1(finely cut)
Ginger - 1/2"
Grated coconut - 1/4 cup.
Curry leaves - 10
Salt for taste.
Heat oil in a pan, add mustard, then chopped onion and green chilly pieces, cook on low flame till you find that onion has started turning slightly brown. Add curry leaves, grated ginger, grated coconut and salt as per your requirement. Switch off the flame, and add this seasoning to the pre boiled sprouted Moong, and mix well stirring gently..(use a bowl for this mixing).
Thats it... Today's delicious breakfast is ready to eat!! So yummy for toung and very good for health....
If you choose to eat this with few roasted cashew nuts, and slices of Tomato and Cucumber, it will be more healthy....

I've never tried this type of upma, but it looks yummy. I do enjoy sooji upma a lot :)

These upmas can be made in different ways. Try using rice sooji. It's also turns out very delicious... :)
