The Largest of The Citrus Fruits
I enjoy a good Pomelo. It usually takes me 3 days or so to eat it, but none the less it's worth the effort! 😊
If you've never eaten one before, it has a taste a bit like a sweet grapefruit. One of the reasons I like them is because they are seasonal, so that makes them more of a treat when then are available.
They're bigger than a grapefruit, up to 6 or 7 inches in diameter and also have a much thicker rind.
Have you ever tried one and if so, did you like it? No-one else in my family will eat them. 😊

I've never heard of them before, but if they are sweeter than a grapefruit, I wouldn't mind trying one. Do you peel it and eat it like an orange? Or do you split it and spoon out the fruit like a grapefruit?

You peel it and eat it like an orange @glenalbrethsen. The rind is really thick and you can also peel the bits of flesh that separate the segments. So it looks a bit like tinned grapefruit looks, i.e. just the fruit.
You can buy them in all our local supermarkets and grocery shops as well, when they are in season.
Definitely look out for them and give them a try. 😊

Never heard of them, let alone eaten one. Or maybe I have, but just assumed it was a grapefruit.

I knew of them but never tried I think. Anything containing C vitamin it's fine unless you have stomach issues.
My vitamin source are focused more on tomato soup( "Gazpacho" in spanish) mainly as I'm too lazy to peel fruit 😁

Pomelos are really easy to peel. They have really thick skin and pith. I'm sure you'd manage. 😊
