Diabetes has made people scared of using sugar in any form so they have started avoiding the jams and jellies and they even refused to take a little spread of it on bread, etc. Preferably, I started using the raw sugar; let me share how it you can make a homemade jelly. Now I use raw sugar. Here’s the how it’s done.
Ingredients:
Fruit some of it be green
Jars
Stock pot
Soup ladle
Water
Raw sugar
Method:
**You can use any fruit, cut the fruit and put in a stock pot. Pour water and put it to boiling, lower down the heat when it is boiling. It usually takes an hour or so.
Get ready the jars for the jelly.
The fruit requires straining now, but let it be drained, naturally rather than be done forcefully to avoid the jelly becoming more cloudy.
The strained liquid and the sugar are of equal quantity.
Start boiling now and keep stirring to prevent over boiling. Boil it on medium as soon as it starts boiling for an hour or so.
Better use a wooden spoon for putting the liquid in and out, at times. Your jelly is ready as soon as you see the drips get longer to fall.
Enjoy your homemade jelly and store it cool.
