Dates (Phoenix dactylifera) is a plant specie in the Palm family usually grown for its edible sweet fruit.

Dates provide a wide range of nutrients which include Carbohydrates, protein, dietary fibre, Vitamins A, B, C, E, and K, Potassium, Calcium, Iron, Magnesium, Manganese, Sodium and Zinc.

Dates have been beneficial in providing relief from constipation, intestinal disorders and hangovers. Helps in Reducing Night blindness, prevents abdominal cancer, strengthen the bones and increases Sexual Stamina.

The Sugar content of Dates when ripe is about 80% therefore making it a good substitute for Refined sugar. Yes! Dates can be dehydrated, grounded and used in baking. It can also be made into syrup and used in soft drinks.

Dates can also be eaten like any other fruit whether Fresh or dried.
