A very ripe, juicy and sweet cantaloupe grown from my secret seed stash.
I picked this yellow watermelon on a unusually hot day and it literally exploded when I cut into it! A loud pop and the watermelon split in half.
I’m not sure what kind of melon this was??? It had the skin of a cantaloupe but was white fleshed. It was still super sweet, crunchy and juicy. This was from an unknown mix of organic seeds I had collected. I will have to mark down the type of seeds better.
Another yellow watermelon.
Last bunch of carrots. Next year, I will be using deeper pots. This bunch was a lot smaller due to shallow pots. They still were crunchy and sweet.
Overall, I harvested 7 yellow watermelons, 11 cantaloupes, several bunches of carrots and bunches of strawberries. For a very small yard area, it was a decent summer season!
Great job @islandfood!
