A Dairy-Free, High-Sugar Treat

I found some Silk Dark Chocolate Almond Milk on sale at a local grocery store, and decided a fake milkshake-style dessert was in order.

I realized that I still have quite a lot of the dairy-free whipped topping I bought for Christmas, as mentioned in my Midnight Overindulgence post. This combination of chocolate and almond or coconut might not appeal to everyone, but it works for me. It's a bit of a Mounds/Almond Joy flavor, but without the cheap mass-production taste.

It was definitely sweet enough. As I have reduced my overall sugar intake, I find the sweetness of what sugary stuff I do consume packs quite a punch. It makes the occasional treat more of a special occasion, that's for sure!
