Lunch on a budget: Jack In The Box Any 2 for $2

The Jack in the Box Any 2 for $2 is a much better deal than Wendy's 4 for $4.

I remember when Wendy's first came out with the 4 for $4 deal. I tried to get a chicken sandwich substituted for the cheeseburger, but I couldn't do that.

The deal is what it is.

Currently that deal is a double stack burger, 4 chicken nuggets, small fries, and a drink.

It's a good deal, to be sure, as far as fast food goes. It is, however, quite rigid in what you can and cannot order.

Jack and the Box originally had an answer to Wendy's 4 for $4 that included a Jumbo Jack, 2 tacos, small fries, and a drink.

In my opinion that was already a better deal than Wendy's 4 for $4, but now Jack in the Box has really upped their game by giving you a range of options.

You can choose any 2 items from the following list:

Hamburger
Chicken sandwich
Egg roll
2 Tacos
Small curly fries
Small drink

You can either order just 2 for $2 or 4 for $4 to make it match Wendy's deal.

I ordered a chicken sandwich, 2 tacos, a small curly fries, and a small drink.

The total at the register for the 4 items before adding in the discount was $6.85.

After adding the discount the total become $4.33.

The part I like best is the fact that you can choose between several different options. Now I don't advocate ordering fast food very often, however, when I do order fast food I like to get a little variety.

The sandwich was pretty good and tasted fresh and the tacos are always great at Jack in the Box. Overall it was a good lunch for a cheap price, and if I should go there next week I can get different items....... to me that makes all the difference.
