How to Make Home Made Healthy GRANOLA BARS. EASY, FAST, 6 INGREDIENTS and HEALTHY.

These are my son's favorite dessert/snacks and I must say it is probably one of my favorite sweets since it contains all the healthy ingredients and I don't feel too guilty eating these.

Super easy to make, with only 6 simple ingredients and about 10 minutes to prepare and ready to serve in 30 minutes.

INGREDIENTS


Coconut Oil - 4 Tablespoons
Brown Sugar - 1/3 cup
Honey - 1/4 cup
Peanut Butter - 1/2 Tablespoon
Vanilla - 1/2 Teaspoon
Quick Oats - 2 cups

I also add: (optional)
Cinnamon - 1 Teaspoon
Cocoa - 1/2 Teaspoon
Shredded, unsweetened coconut - 1/2 cup


You could also use other ingredients like peanuts, chocolate chips etc. sprinkled on top or in the mix.


You will also need a flat cutting board and some waxed paper on top of it. I would also use a paper towel to spread some olive oil on the paper, so that when we put the warm mix on top of it, it will not stick to the paper and it will be easier to take it off.

In the pot on the medium heat melt the coconut oil.

Add the brown sugar and keep on mixing it.

Add honey

Add peanut butter.

When you can make a line with your mixing spoon to see the clear pot you can add vanilla.

The picture is not clear, but you can see the little line on the middle of the pot.


Add the cinnamon and cacoa and keep on mixing.

Once all the ingredients are mixed, turn your stove off and then you can add the quick oats and mixed it till it is all mixed good.

I also added some shredded coconut into the mix and left the rest to sprinkle it on top.

I poured the mix on top of the waxed paper and now we are going to spread it evenly. It is up to you how think or how thick you would like the granola bars.

Flatten the mix out with a spoon or a roller into a square shape, using the knife on the edges.

Sprinkle some shredded coconut on top or any topping of your choice or nothing at all and you can press it down lightly with a knife or spoon, so that the topping will stay on instead of just sliding off.

Using a knife or pizza cutter, start cutting into squares or rectangles (its up to you how big or small or what shapes of granola bars you prefer).

Cover it with the waxed paper and then a towel on top and put it in the fridge for at least 20 minutes. I like to leave it for longer or even overnight.

When you take the granola bars out of the fridge, it will be pretty hard to take the waxed paper off, but if you wait couple of minutes (at least 5-10 minutes) the paper will come off pretty easy.

Hope you will try and enjoy this really easy and healthy recipe and I know you will love it, if you like granola bars. You can also add, or use less sugar if these are too sweet and add whatever you would like to it and make it your own.

Awesome. I love granola too and this one is very healthy since it has coconut oil, cinnamon, honey and peanut butter. And it is even better when you use organic products and raw honey.
