Sardines Plus Odong Noodles

Hi Steemit friends!

I remembered when I was little, my mom's brother who used to live with us when he was in high school, was so fond of eating sardines. In fact, my mom used to buy a lot of canned sardines whenever she did the grocery. However, if my memory serves me right, there were only a few times when we had sardines with o'dong noodles.

I got to learn how to cook this dish when I was living on my own in Lapu-Lapu City where I used to work. One of my closest friends introduced me to this dish, although I remembered eating this when I was kid. This was my friend's favorite noodle soup apparently. Later on, I discovered that he also loved sardines as much as my uncle. Fun fact!

Ingredients. For this dish, you have to prepare the following: a tablespoon of cooking oil, minced onions, odong noodles, a can of sardines, 2 cups of water and salt and umami seasoning(MSG) for flavoring.

Procedure. Saute the minced onions in the heated cooking oil. Add in the sardines, you can mash it or not, it's your choice (but I actually prefer mashing it). Then put the water and bring it to boil. Add in the odong noodles once the water is boiling. Simmer until the noodle is cooked. Then, serve.

Try it guys and enjoy a full meal.

As weird as I am, I actually eat this with rice. Don't care if I have a whole lot of carbs intake. Hehe!
