Apple Jam....Trun it up..this is your jam....

jammy jaamy............... aaja! aaja! aaja!

simple to make...easy to eat...

1kg apple

half kg sugar

1tsp citric acid

a pinch of sodium benzoate

flavouring

colour

method:

  • Peel and core apples; cut into thin pieces.

  • Sprinkle with water, cover, and steam for 1 minute. let cool.

  • Pour half quantity into jar and run at speed 3 for 15 sec.

  • Pour out into a thick dekchi or a non-stick pan, add sugar. allow to cook over low flame, strring with a wooden ladle till mixture thicknes.

  • When cool the jam should fall from the tilted ladle in flakes rather than in drops.

  • Disslove citric acid in half tbs water.

  • Add to jam , boil for minute and remove from heat.

  • When warm, add sodium benzoate, disslove in one teaspoon warm water.
    add flovering and colour and preserve in bottles.
