Great North Ale-Works "Robust Vanilla Porter" Review

This is the beer I am reviewing in this blog post today. Irish deliciousness, I think it is, here is why.

Hello, other people! Today I am going to write my first ever review of a black beer. For those who do not know, my favorite drinks are black beers, of which there are two kinds, Porter and Stout. I was going to make my first review a review of a chocolate truffle stout but I am going to save that for later. In the meantime, here is what I make of the Great North Aleworks brand Vanilla Porter.

But let me make a disclaimer first: I am 23 and will turn 24 on May the 6th of this year, and the drinking age in my nation, America, is 21. Now that this is all done, let's do this review!
==
Firstly, the flavor is delicious. The vanilla extract flavor is potent beyond measure and to me, this is a good thing. I like the potency because it makes for a sort of gourmet taste that makes it taste exactly like the flavor source, in this case, the vanilla plant is the flavor source.
==
Secondly, the texture is beautiful to stare at. Dark black just like I like all my beers to be, the foam is a very neat beige color, in contrast to the chocolate stout's dark brown foam, but more on that in a later post. I think this whitish-brown color for the foam is perfect for its vanilla flavor, makes perfect sense and makes the beer even tastier looking!

Thirdly, the only problem I have with it is the alcohol volume is a bit low for my taste. I tend to favor midsize alcohol volumes like in the 8% to 10% range, but to be fair this stuff comes likably close!
==
Lastly, I love the fact that this beer comes from New Hampshire, and I always loved getting to vacation to there and to Florida as a teen! I miss those trips, and this beer comes from an excellent brewing environment, geographically!
==
Time for grading! So, in my reviewing style, I divide the number of positive observations by the total number of observations in general, and I base my grade as follows:
~80 to 100 = A
~60 to 79 = B
~40 to 59 = C
~20 to 39 = D
~0 to 19 = F
So, grading this beer with this reviewing and grading system, I was only able to elaborate about 4 things and so I give this beer a 75%, which in my grading system as noted above is a B. And being in the 70's range this puts it as B+.

Thanks for reading my beer review, everyone! Also, I will review Movies I have watched, Books I have read, Games I have played, and more with this same reviewing system! Keep looking forward to it all.
