Berries Fun
Today we continue here with homemade jam.
Surprisingly, we got permission to harvest a few blackberry bushes beforehand.
Our neighbours are going on holiday tomorrow and the queen of berries is ripe at this time, what a blessing as it is my favourite fruit.
Here in the pot you see blackberries cooked without anything, in their own juice.
Then it goes into a " Flotte Lotte " and you finely strain the blackberries.
By the way, I pick out the seeds with the rest of the juice and eat a teaspoon every day. It is supposed to be very healthy for the intestines.
The strained blackberries are now boiled in a ratio of 2 to 1 with preserving sugar, i.e. 1 kg blackberries and 500 g preserving sugar.
When the whole thing boils strongly, fill into jars after 4 minutes of boiling time.
If you want to keep the jam longer, I freeze it.
