Dinner Like God In France

Yesterday evening @charles-d and I had a business dinner at the french brasserie Entrecôte 

The Entrecôte is located in an old commercial building in Schützenstrasse 5 not far from Checkpoint Charlie, where the wall stood until 1989, directly on Friedrichstrasse, Berlin's new pulsating shopping mile, in the immediate vicinity of Galerie Lafayette, Quartier 206, Axel-Springer-Verlag, Gendarmenmarkt and Berlin's magnificent boulevard Unter den Linden. A place steeped in history that combines the charm of the 1920s with the memories of the Cold War and the new Berlin's spirit of departure.

We have been there already at 6 p. m. because at this time of the day you get a seat. But it's wise to make a reservation because at 7.30 pm there is quite a crowd here. 

Taking pictures isn't easy here. Unbelievable how many waiters are here and the privacy is respected. So I was very careful. The service is first class and the waiter even brings the jackets into the wardrobe.

We came here to eat a classic steak menu, well known for its sauce. In France, there are several shops with the same name and they all fight for supremacy. 

First there was an appetizer in the form of a Kir Royal and then a Bordeaux red wine for dinner.

The salad is a real pleasure. Various green salads with a delicious vinegrette and walnuts.

The steak is served 2 times and the French fries alone are world class.

Conclusion: The food is excellent with the great steak and the wonderful sauce. The French fries are also very special and the salad is first choice. The service is excellent and the drinks are also very good. Price is not quite cheap but compared to other world cities it is still affordable with 27,50 Euro for steak and salad and a 0,2 red wine cost 10 Euro. You can leave a lot more money here and I will definitely try the daily menue card again and it is a wonderful place for business appointments.
