Starbucks Coffee + Espresso drinks: an informative video that filled my own knowledge gapsteemCreated with Sketch.

Esoteric knowledge related to commerce has been a muse of mine. I wanted to get the story on the full nomenclature behind the idea of how many shots of espresso a customer can put into a cup of coffee, but I was surprised to discover how little information there was. So I made this video to fill in the knowledge gap. When I was finished however, I realized that informative or not this still gave the viewer 7 impressions of the Starbucks logo within a 50 second period. Plus it has a simple, fan look and feel that would fit perfectly into a snapchat feed.

I pitched this angle to Starbucks but they never got back to me. Looking at it again after a month, I understand why they never got back to me. So I am throwing it out to the Steemit-osphere for those who love coffee, need a pep in their step or simply enjoy the idea of a secret menu that is passed on by word of mouth (OR INTERNET).

**The other name for the Green Eye is “The JFK” because…three shots. Get it? :P

@liquidsolomon, I'm a veteran barista at Starbucks along with the mother of my two babies, @luvbnamome, and we call brewed coffee with one add shot, two add shot....and so on. Never heard of purple eye. I never had a customer order over three espresso shots in a cup of brewed coffe here in central california. Steem On Friend

I appreciate the response! Wow! My first Steemit interaction! People really are listening :)

I learned most of these names from the local Starbucks. In doing research of other Starbucks the furthest Baristas outside of my local place was a Black and Blue. I did have a friend who wanted to get me a Purple Eye from the Barista we heard it from so I threw a bunch of change on the table and my friend "Count it out. If there is enough there for a Purple Eye, get one." There was and so we did. The three of us each took one hit and we were sent into orbit. I brought the rest home to keep in the fridge and took periodic sips off of it for three days.

Once again, thank you for the insight!

@runridefly, likes americanos with an add shot. I drink way too much espresso. @liquidsolomon, welcome to steemit. I will follow you.

Cheers! Likewise, Sir.
