Pineapple chutney - Flavors & colors | Recipe with pictures

Hi dear food lovers!

Food is a pleasure for the taste buds. But it's also a pleasure for the eyes. Yes, food is art too!

Today I experimented for the first time to make a pineapple chutney. During the preparation, I enjoyed the beauty of the colors of the ingredients. I wanted to share it with you.

Christmas is coming. Chutney is an easy-to-make and delicious accompaniment that has been enjoyed with all types of meat and also for a vegetarian dish.

Recipe

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 onion
  • 1 clove garlic
  • ½ teaspoon chilli pepper
  • 1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
  • 1 teaspoon curry powder
  • 1 broth of 1 lemon
  • 1 pepper
  • 1 pineapple
  • ¾ cup of brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon grated coconut
  • 1 pinch of sal

PREPARATION

On a board, chop the onion, garlic clove and chilli pepper. Peel the pineapple and cut it into cubes. Cut the peppers in half, remove the seeds and chop it into cubes.
In a pan, put butter and bring to medium heat. When melting, add the onion, garlic, chilli pepper and ginger. Stir well for 3 minutes.

Add the curry, lemon juice, pepper, pineapple and brown sugar. Cover the pan and cook for another 5 minutes over low heat.
Add grated coconut and salt. Let it cook, stirring occasionally, until all the liquid has evaporated. Remove from heat and serve next. Can be served at room temperature.

The smell that spreads during cooking is also a pure pleasure!

Now you can choose to put the chutney in pots (sterilized) and let it stand until Christmas or eat it now without waiting! 😋

Ok. I tried it now and it was so good. You really have to taste it!
