Crostata alla nutella - Italian dessert with nutella recipe - Very simple recipe that everybody can do!

I thought today I'd share my favourite Italian dessert recipe with you guys!Crostata alla nutella.jpeg

If you don't want to bake a cake for your next birthday try this one out, because who doesn't love Nutella.

I love to cook, but one thing that annoys me with almost all recipes on the internet or in cookbooks is that they always use way too many and too hard to find ingredients. My main goal in the kitchen is to cook or bake food that are easy, fast and delicious. I don't want to go out of the house to buy my missing ingredients.

So here we go with this crostata alla nutella.

You need:

  • 300 grams of flour
  • 130 grams of butter or margarine
  • 130 grams of sugar
  • 1 whole egg
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 1 teaspoon of sweet yeast
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 100-200 grams of nutella, if you are a savage even 300 grams

Put everything, except of the nutella, in a bowl and start kneading it with your hands until it looks like this. Dough-crostata.jpeg

Now wrap the pastry into a transparent film and let it rest in your fridge for 20 minutes. In the meantime start preheating your oven at 180 degrees celsius.

After 20 minutes take out the pastry and cut 1/4 off. Start to roll out the other 3/4 of the dough in a round shape up to 1 cm.

Put the dough in a round shaped tray and make sure the edges are also covert. Now start spreading nutella all over it. If you are love nutella I suggest you put a good amount in there.

Now take the other 1/4 of the pastry and form long and flat pieces, which go over the crostata.

Put everything in the oven for about 35 minutes. Once la crostata alla nutella is done let it cool down.
