Hey steemians! Today I wanted to share with you the beautiful food I made with my Dad (@pouchon) yesterday, and not to mention it came out really delicious and successful. We were inspired by @exyle's post from a few days ago when he made chicken tacos. @Pouchon had the idea to do that and I just went along. Surprisingly, it took less than 45 minutes to make. Here are the ingredients we used for it:
- Ground turkey
- Garlic
- Tomatoes
- Parsley
- Red Onion
- Limes
- Avocado
- Salt
- Pepper
- Medium sized tortillas
(@pouchon ended up using one jalapeno LOL and red onion)
While I was in the process of browning the ground turkey.....
@pouchon was chopping some vegetables.
When I'm cooking any ground meat before I season it, I cook it till its brown, so I cook it till it's brown to ensure its cooked thoroughly, afterwards I drain then, season the cooked ground turkey with taco seasonings and @pouchon added fresh cloves. Then, I added water but not to much to where it looks like soup. I let it boil until the sauce has thickened up and look mostly evaporated.
@Pouchon chopped up the tomatoes, parsley, Jalapeno, and mashed up the avocado. Before he squeezed in some lime to make the salsa, I took some of that veggie mixture, added it to the mashed up avocados and added some lime juice , salt and pepper.
After the food was ready, I was missing one thing, the tortillas! I folded the tortillas, I put them on the oven on broil, then flipped them to achieve the golden brown on each side. Sadly, some turned black and by some I mean..5..but I took away the burnt spots and the rest were served as chips.

Then, we made the table look presentable, and had a feast which included additional stuff, like sour cream, shredded lettuce, mozzarella and provolone cheese, re-fried black beans, and tostadas.
Last, but not least DESSERT!! :
Thank you for reading! Also,
thank you @Pouchon for your teamwork and @exyle for your inspiring post.
I did not expect it would turn out this way.
It was delicious.
Thanks @maj
