Hey guys, today I made Teriyaki Fish for dinner!!!
This Teriyaki sauce goes with anything, actually... people might be thinking, [Oh Teriyaki is for chicken right???] No no no... you can use it for anything, for meat fish, and vegetables as well... but I will suggest not to use red meat because the flavor crashes each other...
So, today I used King fish or yellowtail amberjack. This fish is very meaty and fatty but at the same time, it gets too dry easily if you cook too much...Yes I know that all the fish are like that covercooking make it chewy...but this one gets extra chewy since the texture of the meat is pretty packed tight.
My Teriyaki sauce recipe is;
- 100ml of soy sauce
- 100ml of water
- 1/3 cup of sugar
- 3 Tbs of Dashi
- 1/4 cup of Sake
This is all you need... mix everything together, and cook it on medium heat, and reduce it into half!
If you do not have sake, use vodka but if you do not like alcoholic products, then skip it!!!
For vegetarian and vegan, you can skip the Dashi as well. I just always add it so that more flavorsome in the dish....
