Lemon is a citrus fruit that has been cultivated since prehistoric times. Lemons originated in tropical
Asia and were brought to the Americas by Spanish explorers. Lemons have many uses in everyday life.
Lemon juice contains citric acid, vitamin C, B vitamins, folate, thiamine, riboflavin, niacin, pantothenic
acid, and biotin; these chemicals promote proper digestion, aid in the formation of red blood cells,
stimulate bone marrow activity, help build strong muscles, and increase iron absorption.
Limes are high in vitamin C. **For maximum benefit, mix limes with oranges for a delicious treat.
Lime juice is high in antioxidants, which may help to lower cholesterol levels. **Antioxidants increase
blood flow throughout the body, improve cognitive performance and boost brainpower.
Liquorice root contains glycyrrhizin, a sweet substance similar in action to sugar. **It helps regulate
blood pressure and lowers bad LDL cholesterol. Liquorice root is often combined with licorice leaf
extract to create a synergistic flavor effect. These properties make lemons very useful for a variety of
purposes.
Uses of lemon in daily life:

  1. Lemon juice is commonly applied to wounds, cuts, scrapes, burns, and rashes. Apply
lemon juice directly to the affected area using a cotton ball or clean cloth. To prevent
scabbing, apply 1-2 drops of lemon oil after cleaning the wound.
in the morning with warm water. Repeat 2 times per week.
  2. Cleanse face with a mixture of water and lemon juice. Rinse thoroughly. Follow with a
    moisturizer or facial mask.
  3. Remove dead skin cells by massaging face with a mixture of lemon juice and salt. Let
sit for 10 minutes before washing. Do not use if pregnant. Repeat once daily.
  4. Exfoliate dry, flaky skin with a combination of lemon juice and sugar. Use both hands
to scrub until the desired effect occurs. Rub gently and rinse. Allow to air dry.
  5. Keep skin clear and glowing by applying lemon juice to the face daily. Simply mix fresh
squeezed lemon juice with water and rub onto face and neck. Allow to stay on for 15 -
20 minutes before rinsing off with lukewarm water.
  6. Improve breath and teeth whitening by brushing teeth with a mixture of lemon and
baking soda. Add a pinch of cinnamon and peppermint. Brush twice a day.
  7. Prevent bleeding gums by massaging lemon juice into gums for 5 minutes. Floss regularly and brush
    twice daily.
  8. Make hair shine and smell great by soaking hair in lemon juice overnight. Rinse and condition.
  9. Get rid of body odor caused by sweat by rubbing lemon juice on the underarms, armpits, and
    crotch.
  10. Remove stains on clothing and furniture by adding lemon juice to a damp cloth and wiping away
    the stain.
  11. Make homemade laundry detergent by mixing ½ cup of vinegar, half cup of white distilled vinegar,
¼ cup of hydrogen peroxide, ¼ cup of Borax, and enough water to make a thick paste. Spread paste
over stained fabric. Allow to set for 30 minutes. Then wash according to instructions.
  12. Remove ink stains from clothes and fabric by rubbing lightly with a cut lemon.
The lemon is an evergreen tree or shrub native to tropical Asia. Lemon trees are grown widely across
Europe and North America for commercial production. Lemons have been cultivated since ancient
times for their fruit. In recent history, they were valued for their aroma and flavoring and used in
    cooking and medicine.
  13. Lemon juice is a great natural cleaning solution to clean everything from countertops to toilets.
When using lemon juice to clean, make sure to use only half-filled bottles. Fill them about halfway and
then add water, since the lemons have citric acid, which causes the liquid to evaporate rapidly. Lemon
juice works well to clean hard surfaces like tile, marble, granite and stainless steel.
  14. Lemons also help prevent mold and mildew growth! Just apply some lemon juice to the inside of
your cupboards or refrigerator where they tend to collect food residue.
17 You can also use fresh lemon juice to get rid of those unsightly little blackheads that pop up at the 18. If you have ever cooked with tomatoes, you know how acidic they are. After cooking, you need to
neutralize their acidity, because if you don't, your vegetables will taste sour. Put your tomato sauce in a
bowl and mix in 2 Tbsp. of lemon juice. Let sit for 5 minutes and your delicious sauce won't taste tart
anymore. Try it with pasta or pizza tonight!
  15. In addition, lemons help balance the PH levels of your home! A lemon placed near the toilet or
kitchen sink will keep these areas smelling fresh and clean.
  16. Finally, lemons are really great for ridding yourself of halitosis (bad breath). Before going to bed,
drop two slices of lemon under your tongue for 20 minutes before brushing your teeth. The citric acid
in the lemons will work to fight bacteria in your mouth, leaving you with fresher breath throughout the
    night!
