in food •  6 years ago  (edited)

Oil & vinegar dressing is a delicious, nutritious classic, but...

Vegans don't have to go without creamy dressing anymore!

There's a dairy alternative to almost everything in stores, and it's easy to make your own at home, too! See recipe below. Try it out and impress your vegan friends. :)

Easy, home-made, vegan ceasar recipe:

If you don't want to start from scratch, you can start with:

1/4 cup of VEGANAISE

Next, mix in:

  • 2 Tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 Teaspoons lemon juice
  • A dash of vegan worchestershire sauce or substitute (ex. combinations of tamarind, tamari, soy sauce, vinegars)
  • 1/2 teaspoon of (dijon) mustard
  • 1 clove of crushed garlic (or garlic powder to taste- fresh, raw garlic is intense)
  • salt and pepper
  • optional: sweetner, spice, nutritional yeast, etc.

It's a great dressing, dip, and spread, too. Ceasar with cheddar "cheeze" makes a great sandwich that tastes like a burger! :O :)

710 mL lol

Hell yeah I'd hit that OIL!
