DF Margherita Pizza with homegrown basil

I'm growing basil on the patio this spring/summer. You can't really grow for calories on a patio, but you can grow herbs for health! I chose basil because it's a low-maintenance, high-yield herb found in lots of recipes.

Featured here is a dairy-free margherita pizza with organic tomato sauce and organic home-grown basil. I look forward to another pizza with even bigger leaves!

I also enjoy basil in chilli, marinara, and thai curry, and hopefully pesto soon too!

I sure could and should! I'd just need to infuse the oilve oil that goes into the tomato sauce. :) <3

That was a tasty one! I'm so happy cheese can be made from so many other fat sources now. The stuff we put on our pizzas melts and stretches like breastmilk cheese.

Mmmm but get more hemp in there next time! ;D
