Regarding in continuation of yesterday's Eid Post. This post will highlight and talk about the Different types of special food recipes or delicious cuisines that are prepared on the eve of Eid. Eid generally means lots and lots of different varieties of Food and Sweets prepared in home. So lets start with the different types of Food and beverages that are served on Eid.
The morning of Eid starts with the Traditional sweet Kehwa(be it with milk or without the milk). It is a Tea Whose syrup is extracted from cinnamon, Saffron, Cardamom. When milk is added to it, various dry fruiys like cashew or nuts are also added to the tea. This tea is served with the sweet biscuits and Cakes.
It is followed by the Salty Tea(namkeen tea). It is served after Eid Prayers generally after 2 hours of serving Sweet tea in the morning. The namkeen tea is served with lota and lots of Salty bakery and confectionery.
After the Noon, it is Lunch Time. Usually, the household cooks some extra rice as it is some tradition to have guests for Lunch. The Lunch is served with Rice as The basic food with many cuisines. Alot of different cuisines are prepared on Eid with a minimum count of 4 or 5 dishes per Meal. Some of the dishes that we had prepared for This Eid are;
1 Chicken Meatballs
2 Butter Chicken
3 Cheese in Tomato
4 Meat Made in Yoghurt (yakhni)
5 Yoghurt
In the Evening, Again Namkeen (Salty) tea with served with;
Katlam
Finni
Dal
Samosa
The day comes to an end with dinner being served with the same cuisines as were served at lunch.
