SATURDAY NIGHT... FOOD!! Being fairly new to the United States, coming here all the way from India, there is a lot of choice here when I'm in the mood to you know... try a new cuisine. Well after a lot of deliberation I decided on trying tacos. Um yes... I never ate a taco in my life before.
I went to a place called La Margarita. It was quiet a happening place, the ambience was cozy. Quickly ordered the chicken tinga taco.. Well because I love everything chicken and everything cheese and it had both in it. Couldn't wait to bite into it.
When the server brought the tacos, I thought they looked really cute. The first thing I notice is the heap of shredded chicken on the flat bread topped with a slice of avocado and cilantro. Where I come from avocado is an exotic fruit. I would never ever imagine eating chicken with any kind of fruit. I was like oh well.. and took a bite into it. The taste was amazing, the chicken was so moist and tender. The flavor was like ooh la la.. tangy and hot. And the avocado, smooth as butter totally compliments the texture of the chicken. I was like WOWWW and ate three of those delicious tacos without a break.
I am a taco fan now. Not just any taco, I want the tinga tinga yeah... tinga tinga... tinga tinga yeah!!
