Our visit to a vegetarian MICHELIN restaurant in Vienna

Hello steemians 😊

Have you ever been to a vegetarian Michelline restaurant? While planning our trip to Vienna we decided to book a table at Restaurant Tien.

And it was a real adventure going there.

At first, when we arrived at the restaurant had our jackets taken and was shown to our table.

While seated we where given warm towels to clean our hands with and a cucumber infused sparkling drink that was super delicious.
We were soon treated some bread with different oils, vegan butter, and salt. I’m not a huge fan of olive oil but these ones where fresh and delicious.

Soon the food started to arrive, we chose a tasting menu and I can’t really remember all the names of the dishes, so I let you all enjoy all the photos I took for you.

they all look so pretty, I don't know if I'd still be hungry after them though. Were they filling?

Nice post too BTW.

We actually got pretty full. The dishes increased in size as we got through the menu but I got hungry pretty quick after. They do how ever fill up with bread through out the sitting. It's more about the taste than the quantity. But it was a fun experience :)

Ah yeah totally, I'd say its like theater.

Oh wow, I don't think I've ever been to a restaurant that fancy before! Looks like it would be a really neat experience. I feel like I saw that restaurant on that series on Netflix called Chef's Table maybe? I could be wrong, but it definitely looks nice enough to be featured on there. :)

It sure was fancy :D. It was my first time in a Michelin restaurant :D But it was really worth it. It's possible they have been featured in chefs table. I haven't seen it though :D.

Oh wow! Those baby portions! Haha. Was it very expensive?

Haha, Yeah I did get hungry after a while again but we got pretty full while at the restaurant. We paid around 300 euros. So for me that is quite expensive. But we thought it would be a fun experience so I think it was worth it :)

The last time I went to a restaurant that fancy I wasnt vegan and I ate so many corpses that now breaks my heart.
I'm thinking on going to Europe this September. So I will try to save so money to go there. Were all the food vegan? you have to tell the restaurant in advanced about it?

Well we can't change what we did in the past. You shouldn't feel bad about it <3 You know better now <3
It's a vegetarian restaurant but they have a vegan tasting menu and they really do great vegan food.
You have to book in advanced to get a table ( I booked like a month ahead) but I don't think you have to tell them that you will be eating only vegan. I think it's enough to tell them on site. But I always inform in my bookings every where that we follow a vegan diet (well not on vegan restaurants ;D).
Let me know if you consider coming to Sweden and I can show you around :)

Of course I will, Stockholm is my favorite city in the world. So there's no doubt I will be going. It will be amazing if you can show me around and have a different look of the country. I want to go to other cities too.

Haha you sure about that? I'm getting tired of it. Of course I will show you around and we can visit all the great vegan restaurants here.
I've heard that Malmö and Göteborg have some good vegan food. :)
