Okay, here we go!
After receiving a generous gift of some Bitter Melon seeds from BobMel Simple Living we got right on germinating and growing them. Now the harvest has come in and it's time to finally give them a try.
In this video we harvest, prepare, and cook our first bitter melons ever. I wonder how we'll like them.
They explode? Haha that's kinda funny. Do they make a loud noise or is it more of a dull pop for the purpose of spreading the seeds?

It's called Pare in my country, we served it by boil it and add salt so it tasted not so bitter anymore.

PERFECT Thai medicine food and sooo very common here. Thai people make a clear chicken broth, and then simmer the bitter melon in that, with a small mountain of garlic. It's commonly served in hospitals here, which is lovely. The whole country KNOWS it as a powerful natural medicine food.
