Miss "-Silog"'s?

If you're a true blooded Filipino, you'd love the many versions of "silogs" --- tapsilog, tocilog, chicksilog, hotsilog. For my non-Filipino readers "silog" is being used as a suffix to any food combined with "SInangag" (fried rice) and "itLOG" (egg which is usually sunny side up).

Traditionally served in breakfast, "silogs" became equally famous at any time of the day and included in menus of different restaurants and fastfood chains.

People adapting a lowcarb high fat diet (LCHF or otherwise known as Ketogenic diet) misses out SILOGS in their meal plans as rice is a big NO-NO. Not until one commits to prepare their own version of fried rice from scratch.

Caulirice is an alternative to rice and tastes best if copied-cat as "sinangag". The one below was our Monday lunch: HOTSILOG ( hotdog-sinangag-itlog).

Caulirice is very easy to prepare, you can either use a foodprocessor or a grater to mimic the textire of rice. Afterwhich, cook it as how you'll cook fried rice. Adding fried garlic, scrambled eggs, and the likes will be at your preference... the choices are just so vast!

Remember, if you're committed to eat healthy, it is best to explore and cook from scratch!
