Here's a meal I figured out by accident. The pictures are self explanatory.

Begin with some lard in a pan. Scramble an egg and add bread crumbs. Form into a patty and fry.

I served this with syrup and it was pretty tasty.

The idea came from frying zucchini slices. I had extra batter after cooking the veggies, so I put that into the pan and it was delicious!

I'm calling this inside out French toast because it has the same ingredients, but in opposite proportions. This has more egg and protein than one slice of French toast.

It's the perfect snack when you have extra batter, or if the crypto bear market is really bringing you to your knees 😂.

Anyway, it wasn't good enough for Food Fight Friday, but I had to share and try out Steepshot's multiple pictures post feature.

I really enjoy normal french toast, but I'll give this one a shot!

I am a vegetarian but i have to appreciate it looks really delicious

Thanks! It was definitely not a vegetarian friendly version, but I think it could be modified for those who eat eggs.

Yup will think if i can try out with something else.

I think this is totally triple F worthy. Definitely a good looking munchie snack @protegeaa.

Thanks! It was pretty tasty.

Thanks for this delicious photo and post.. I am also vegetarian but this is very beautiful and delicious. Thanks for share.

I thought maybe you were posting for #fff early :)

Still looks good. I like the idea of using leftovers from something else you're cooking to experiment and create something else. Practical, thrifty and creative all at once. Having it taste good is a bonus after all of that. :)

We've challenged ourselves with being as thrifty as possible the past couple months.

Not out of necessity, although SoCal is stupid expensive, but to see what we are capable of, and as we really enjoyed Rome, it is worth it to cut back for now and consider saving for another trip!

I think it's best to do when it's not out necessity. That generally helps to keep it from being a necessity and buffers it when it might be. We lived in Orange County for the better part of four years nearly thirty years ago and it was stupid expensive then. I know it's only gone up from there. All the people moving elsewhere as businesses seek better financial climates, I'm not sure who's going to be left. Probably won't get that bad, but I'm afraid it's only going to get worse as far as cost of living goes.

And I'm going to really need to prep for fff! There is serious competition there!

yeah, I agree. For me, it's best not to treat it as a competition, because of just that. It's probably one of the few I wouldn't though. If there were a clothes folding competition, I might try to compete, but I'm flat out bad at that so it would just be for the fun and the humiliation. :)

Competition sounds more fierce than I mean it. 😁

That looks really good! And it will appeal to those who are looking for more protein and fewer carbs.

I was just thinking that I hadn't seen or heard from you in a while. I've been having trouble making the rounds as these last few weeks I've been busier than I have been in a while. Glad you're still making food and chugging along. I've got more busy coming up, so if I don't see you... be well! :)

You have been missed, nameless friend.

I did end up doing three food posts in a row, but I have another article in the can that will post around 8:30 tomorrow morning (Pacific time) that is not food, but Steem related.

Trying to write fewer articles that are better written.

I work so much to not get hit that I would hope I was missed. Also, if I wasn't missed, I'd be dead. Bounty Killing is a tough business, but then again the Old West is a wild and (mostly) lawless place. Ha ha.

I'll have to check out your post when it lands.

I've actually never seen the movies!

Outlaw Josie Whales? Yes. Unforgiven? Yes. But none of the spaghetti westerns.

You keep posting these excellent looking meals, and I just weighed myself and gained 3 pounds since your carbonara recipe. 🤣🤣🤣 I'm not a vegetarian and there needs to be some bacon in your photos.

My mamma used to fry tomatoes and zucchinis with a flour batter, I wish I knew what she used, but she always fried what was left over and it tasted so good. I really miss her and her great cooking. 🙏

May she rest in peace.

I may have gained a pound last night, but I'm also currently doing intermittent fasting, so I can only eat from noon to 8 pm every day. It's overall helped me lose 5 - 8 pounds in the past month.

yummy french toast🥪

YUMMY @protegeaa ,accidentally made recipes will be always super.
