Polenta with fried fennel 🌽 / Polenta mit gebratenem Fenchel 🌽

Good ingredients and a little creativity almost always result in a delicious meal 😊


Gute Zutaten und ein bisschen Kreativität ergeben fast immer eine gute Mahlzeit 😊


For todays lunch I came up with the idea of making Polenta with fried fennel. It tasted really good, except that I put a bit to much whole lemon pieces into the Polenta, which made it quite sour.^^
Für das heutige Mittagessen kam ich auf die Idee Polenta mit gebratenem Fenchel zu machen. Es schmeckte wirklich gut, außer das ich ein bisschen zu viel ganze Zitronenstückchen in den Polenta gegeben haben, was das ganze recht sauer machte.^^

Polenta


Ingredients: Zutaten:
Polenta Polenta
Red onion Rote Zwiebel
Leek Lauch
Whole Lemon pieces Ganze Zitronenstücke
Garlic Knoblauch
Olive oil Olivenöl
Salt Salz
Pepper Pfeffer
Water Wasser
Preparation: Zubereitung
  • Fry the onions, leek, lemon pieces (just use very few, otherwise it will get too sour as well^^) and garlic in olive oil.
  • Bratet die Zwiebeln, den Lauch, die Zitronenstücke (davon nur sehr wenige verwenden, sonst wird es auch zu sauer^^) und den Knoblauch in Olivenöl.
  • Add the Polenta, Salt and Pepper and pour the water on it, then let it cook until the polenta is soft.
  • Fügt den Polenta, das Salz und den Pfeffer hinzu und gießt es mit Wasser auf. Dann lasst das ganze kochen bis der Polenta weich ist.

    Ingredients: Zutaten:
    Fennel Fenchel
    Lemon juice Zitronensaft
    Herbal salt Kräuter Salz
    Thyme Thymian
    Pepper Pfeffer
    Olive oil Olivenöl
    Preparation: Zubereitung:
  • Simply fry the fennel for a few minutes in olive oil, add the spices and at the end a little bit of lemon juice.
  • Bratet einfach den Fenchel ein paar Minuten in Olivenöl, fügt die Gewürze dazu und am Ende ein bisschen Zitronensaft.

  • Stay divers and use a lot of different vegetables and you will feel way healthier ;)


    Bleibt vielfältig und nutzt viele verschiedene Gemüsesorten und ihr werdet euch viel gesünder fühlen ;)

    I never had polenta. But I bought the dry... whatever you call it to make it.
    As a kid we used to boil it with milk to make it sweet way with fruits. Like babies food.

    Polenta is simply small grounded corn, so the dry thing you bought should be Polenta as well^^

    Thanks! I am pretty sure it is. I wanted to actually try to make it very thick, the cut slices and grill it. That must be good!

    The sweet way is very runny... porridge like, cooked on milk. And you can add cinnamon, dry fruits and nuts and eat for breakfast :)

    yeah that sounds really good, I have never grilled it, but my mom often makes it in the stove, then it is also really good and not so soft ;)
