Ever wondered why they serve microscopic portions on huge plates in too many fancy restaurants out there? Costs of ingredients? It’s more tasty or attractive this way? Any explanation of this phenomenon?
Whatever answer you might come up with I just wanted you to know that you will never see something alike in my blog. Most of my dishes are at least for a big healthy family or some party and this way it’s going to be. No tiny portions here, but if you need it served like some Michelin star restaurant then just take less ingredients. Sounds easy, right? ))).
I’ve already published several posts about grilling at home, but I hope you wouldn’t mind yet another outstanding recipe of a juicy home grilled turkey breast recipe. Incredibly tasty, fast and beautiful! What else would you need? Perhaps only some grilled vegetables that you can find in my previous post.
Ingredients
- 1kg turkey fillet;
- dried oregano/basil/garlic powder;
- ½ cup olive oil;
- salt to taste.
How to cook
Slice turkey (½ inch, 1.5cm approx) and put into a deep bowl. Add oil, herbs and salt to taste. Mix it all together with hands and let it stay there for some time.
Preheat a grill pan to medium-high level. Again, no need to add oil since we added enough to meat already. Put your turkey slices into a preheated grill pan. Better do it in batches leaving some space between each piece.
It takes up to 10 minutes to cook turkey from one side. No need to have it pink inside (in my humble opinion), so better check some thick piece if it’s done already. Turn turkey over and have the steaks finished in some 5-10 minutes more (check with a knife).
Serve while hot with your favorite grill sauce or balsamic and beautiful vegetables or side dishes!
