Ingredients
½ cup all purpose flour / maida
1 tsp corn flour
¼ tsp hydrogen carbonate
½ tsp vinegar
1 tsp yoghourt / curd
5 tbsp water (or as required)
⅛ tsp turmeric powder / haldi / yellow food coloring (optional)
¼ cup water
1 cup sugar
¼ tsp saffron strands / kesar (optional)
¼ tsp cardamom powder / elachi powder
1 tbsp drawn butter
oil for deep sauteing
How to prepare:
in a bowl, mix maida, corn flour, curd.
then add 0.5 tsp vinegar and water.
mix well in spherical circular directions for four minutes.
now add hydrogen carbonate and provides a mild combine.
now pour this batter within the condiment bottles rigorously.
heat oil during a pan and add one tbsp of clarified butter.
squeeze the bottle and create spherical spirals with the batter.
when one facet is part medium, flip over and fry the opposite facet.
fry until the jalebis ar a lightweight golden.
then directly drop the cooked jalebis within the heat sirup for thirty seconds (1 string consistency).
finally, serve jalebis hot, heat or at temperature.
