Ingredients
Red lentils / musoor metric capacity unit (skinned)- one cup
Par-boiled rice : 1¼ cup
Potatoes : one massive withdraw chunks
Onions (sliced) : one massive
Garlic cloves : 3-4
Ginger paste : one tbsp
Tomatoes : one cut
Green chillies : 2-3
Whole garam masala (cloves , cinnamon , cardamom) : 2-3 every
Cumin powder (roasted) one tsp
Turmeric powder : ½ tsp
Red hot pepper powder - ½ tsp (optional)
Bay leaf - one or two
Salt and sugar to style
Ghee : two tbsp
How to prepare:
Wash associated soak the rice for [*fr1] an hour.

Temper it with whole spices, bay leaf.
Fry the onion slices until semitransparent. Fry the garlic and ginger paste too.
Add the lentils and rice, potatoes, tomatoes, inexperienced chillies and alternative spices.
Fry or saute them for a minute.
Add salt and 4 cups water.
Pressure cook until done.
This khichdi are going to be liquid in texture.
Adjust salt, seasonings and add sugar.
Add remaining drawn butter, provides a nice stir and serve hot.
