Hello friends of steemit, here I leave you the easiest way of how to make an arepa of piled corn, primordial food in our country Venezuela.
Ingredients:
- 2 kilos of piled corn
- 3 liters of water
- Salt to taste
Preparation:
Wash the corn very well. Empty it in a pot with lid and add water, place over high heat. When it starts to boil, let it cook for 10 minutes. Turn off and leave it covered overnight.
The next day it sneaks well and is milled; Then the dough is divided and poured into a plastic container with salt to taste to knead until smooth
The arepas are then molded and placed on a griddle in the kitchen until a thin layer is obtained on each side of them.
Remove from heat and let cool, when they are at room temperature can be stored in the bottom of the refrigerator.
Each time you want to eat them, put them back on the hot plate until they are fully cooked. They last up to 10 refrigerated days.
