Ingredients:
Basmati Rice: 4 cups
Hot Water: 7 cups
Ghee: 4 tbsp.
Onion: 4 large (thinly sliced)
Cashew nut: as required
Raisins: as required
Chicken:1Kg
Turmeric Powder: 3 pinches
Red chili powder:3tbsp.as required
Coriander Powder: 3 tbsp.
Pepper Powder: 2 tbsp.
Biryani Masala or Garam Masala Powder: 1 tbsp.
Ginger: 1 Inch or as required
Garlic: 10Cloves or as required
Green chili: 4 or as required
Tomato: 2
Ginger Garlic Paste: 3 tbsp.
Yogurt:1/2cup
Cinnamon: 2 Piece
Clove:8 Piece
Cardamom: 5 Numbs
Whole pepper:9 Numbs
Coriander Leaves: 1/2 cup
Mint leaves:1/2 cup
Cooking Oil: 4 tbsp.
Salt to taste
How to make:
Wash and soak the basmati rice for around 30 min, then drain it and set aside.
In a bowl, add grinded/finely sliced ginger, garlic and Chili, Curd, chili powder 1 tbsp., turmeric powder 1 pinch, pepper 1 tbsp. and allow the chicken to marinate for 30 minutes
Chicken Garnishing: Heat 1 tablespoon ghee in frying Pan, fry cashew, raisins and one finely sliced Onions separately till finely brown and crispy
Heat 4 Tbsp. Cooking Oil in vessel , fry balance Onion add a pinch salt , so that it will fry easily , once its brown , slim flame add balance chilli , coriander , pepper , garam masala , turmeric powders for two minutes . Add finely sliced tomatoes and keep I for few minutes
Add marinated chicken, mix well keep it for 5 min, once chicken colour changes, and add 1 cup water chicken level
Cook it covered with medium flameHeat 1 tbsp. ghee in another vessel, put cinnamon, clove, whole pepper, cardamom, put drained rice into it stir for 2 minutes, pour 7 cup hot water and salt as needed, cook it till water fully absorbed
Finally take a big vessel and layer first rice then chicken evenly, top and bottom layer should be rice, on top of each chicken level add fried onion, cashew, raisins if needed finely chopped pineapple, then mint and coriander leaf, then little ghee as required for taste (ghee can make it more tastier), once done top garnishing neatly, cover vessel . and heat a heavy tawa, put vessel on top and keep for 10-15 minutes, keep it unopened for few minutes say 10 minutes.
Now gently Serve hot with Pickle, raita,
Boiled egg and papadam on the side and Enjoy!

All the seasonings here sound like this dish will turn out well.
However, when you say serve this with a pickle, I don't think I have the right thing in my mind.
I'm picturing a green pickle to eat with this rice dish.
