While this may not be the most Earth shattering post (I only have 2 blog entries so the bar ain't that high yet), it is pretty awesome. I also may be a little late to the party with this one since it's all I have heard about for the last 6 months. It is my Instant Pot Duo y'all! AKA a pressure cooker. My husband and I got one for Christmas. I remember the first time I saw a review for it six months ago, and I was like "it's magic".
I was honestly like one of the early 1900 American women at one of those World Trade Fairs ogling a new iron or a fancy schmancy washboard. All the things that would make my domestic duties oh so much easier.
A pot roast in less than an hour? A hard boiled egg in 2 minutes? Say 'what'?! Seriously over the moon excited. Let's get one thing straight right now. I am not really into cooking. Now eating? I can get down with eating, and my instant pot makes that possible faster.
I cooked ribs in that thing that were fall-off-the-bone good. LESS THAN AN HOUR!! Holy crap! They tasted like they had been cooking all day. Also made white ranch chicken chili in 30 minutes. That is a 5-hour-in-the-slow-cooker meal. Next time I make something in there I'll be sure to snap a photo and drop the recipe. If you do not have an instant pot and find you are strapped for time on a regular basis. I strongly encourage you to enter the world of pressure cooking. After all we all need a little magic in our lives. ;)
