Whipped Cream Puffs - Slagroomsoezen - Photos and RecipesteemCreated with Sketch.

in food •  7 years ago

We have different names for Slagroomsoezen in the Netherlands. We also call them; Bossche Bollen or Moorkoppen. When they are elongated, they are called eclairs. All these names are for a cooking dough that you'r then baking and filling with whipped cream and covered with chocolate.

There are several recipes to be found. I have used the following recipe.

Cooking dough

175 ml of water
75 ml milk
100 grams of butter
250 grams of flour
6 eggs of 50 grams each
Pinch of salt

Boil the water, milk and butter in a pan

2

Add the flour and the salt. Mix this mass well. The flour must now be cooked. If the flower is glaring and sandy, this mixture is cooked.

3

Take the dough of the fire and cool the bottom of the pan. (To prevent the egg from solidifies, which you are going to add now) Add the eggs one by one and mix well.

4

Spray on a baking sheet

5

Bake 20 minutes in a 200 degree celsius oven. I add a bowl of water so that the puffs can get up well.

6

See them rise

7

Beat the cream

8

Melt the chocolate

9

Cover the top of the puffs with chocolate

10

This is how it looks

11

We decorated them with cream and a tangerine for the color.

I am in the kitchen at the organic care farm where I work.

Thank you for these kind words :-) @ducky9605

Wow, those look tasty. I like the tangerine on top - it adds some nice color.

They where tasty! Even our dogs liked them! (not the chocolate, that's toxic for dogs) Thanks @lydon.sipe :-)

Haha, the dogs know what is tasty. You're welcome. :)

Looks very tasty! :-)

Thank you sir! :-)

You're welcome! :-)

Yum yum! Very tasty, though I like bosche bollen even more!

:-) Bosche bollen are almost the same, as you know, I made it easy for myself and the clients by cutting them open instead of filling them :-)
Have a great day @playfulfoodie

True true, I would very much like to eat these aswell! With bosche bollen I always take off all the chocolate to save for last :-)
You have a great day too!

Thank you mrs. :-)
Maybe I'll make them for you sometime.....
