My father was visiting from Las Vegas and told us he wanted to eat this Northern Thai dish that he grew up on. That dish was baked pig's brain. At first, I thought he was joking but when they confirmed he wasn't, I was curious about how it was made. They explained that they baked the brains in a curry-like mix in a banana leaf until it slightly hardens.

The locals eat it with sticky rice, much like eating sticky rice with grilled pork. For me, it was much different than eating grilled pork. Probably because in my mind, I never thought I'd eat any type of mammal brains. It was more mentally hard than anything because the taste of it was what the curry flavor tasted like. If you're ever in Northern Thailand love culinary adventures, then pig brains may be the right dish for you.
