My first attempt at making butternut squash.

I found this recipe online and modifyed it some... please read my blog and try for yourself. Enjoy!

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 butternut squash
  • 2 tablespoons of butter (I prefer Kerrygold)
  • brown sugar
  • salt
  • pepper

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F
  2. Cut butternut squash lengthwise *caution butternut squash is difficult to cut, imagine trying to slice a solid pumpkin*

  4. Discard seeds
  5. Place squash skin down on baking sheet
  6. Put one teaspoon of butter in void then spread a layer of butter on the hard flesh
  7. Generously sprinkle with brown sugar
  8. Salt and pepper to taste

  10. Bake 50~60 minutes, or until flesh is soft
  11. Stir to mix remaining flesh with remaining butter
  12. ENJOY
