Traditional Potato Halves With Bacon! Winter Recipe!

Potato halves with bacon!

This is something that I used to make often during winter, but because winters here in Australia are not icy and frozen like in Europe I forgot about them!

So I made them today, just a bit of nostalgia.

Grab a few potatoes, wash them and cut them in half.

Cut up the bacon into pieces to fit on the potatoes.

Place your halves into the oven and bake them in a preheated oven 200 degrees celsius, about 45 minutes to 1 hour.

When they are almost finished, when they are nice golden and brown place the bacon on the halves and return into the oven for 5 to 7 minutes, until the bacon is nice and crispy.

Then serve, with anything you like, from sour cream to tomato sauce!

Simple and tasty!

I have never really seen this version before, might have to try these. Thanks for sharing.

You won't regret it!

I love these as twice baked also.

You can't go wrong with bacon. Mmmm! Looks delicious.

Thank you. I agree.

I am sure bacon with just about anything will be delicious :D

Bacon makes everything better. I love my wifes twice baked potatoes, but this looks like it would be a close second.

Very simple recipe! I like it.
