I love eating bulgogi gimbap (kimbap) rolls! Watch as I show you my version, and don't forget to check out the mukbang video.

Ingredients (feed 3-4 people):
Korean pickled radish- cut into strips (four, one per roll)
2 eggs- whisked
1/2 lb thinly cut steak (or cut into thin strips)
1 tsp sesame seeds
1 stalk green onion (chopped)
2 Tbsp soy sauce
3 Tbsp sesame oil
1 tsp Mirin
2 Tbsp brown sugar
1 tsp garlic - chopped
1 tsp of salt
1 tsp of sugar
1/2 cup matchstick carrots (may cut up yourself, or store bought)
1 bag of spinach (6 ounces)
4 seaweed wrappers
2 cups of cooked short grain rice
Sushi rolling mat

Directions
Making bulgogi meat:

  1. In a mixing bowl, add meat, soy sauce, 1 tbsp sesame oil, mirin, brown sugar, green onions, and garlic. Marinate for 30 minutes.
  2. Grill or pan fry until cooked on medium heat.
  3. Set aside until you assemble rolls.

Making rice:

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine cooked rice, 1 tbsp of sesame oil, salt and sugar.
  2. Mix and set aside until ready to assemble rolls.

Making other ingredients:

  1. On medium heat, put 1 tbsp of sesame oil, saute carrots for 2-3 minutes. May optionally add a dash of salt.
  2. Set aside until ready to assemble rolls.
  3. Bring a pot of water to boiling and blanch spinach until limp. Take out and drain.
  4. Set aside until ready to assemble rolls.
  5. In a pan, on medium low heat, add a drop of oil to make sure the egg doesn't stick to the pan.
  6. Pour whisked eggs into pan and rotate the pan so the egg spreads evenly and flat (like a pancake). Flip the egg once, then cut in to strips. Set aside until ready to assemble the rolls.
  7. Cut the pickled radish into strips. Set aside until ready to assemble the rolls.

Assembly:

  1. Using a sushi rolling mat, place one sheet of seaweed wrapper on top.
  2. Add a THIN layer of rice to the top. Spread evenly.
  3. Add ingredients as you desire and roll.
  4. Cut rolls into bite sizes, and serve!

Tip: You may add whatever ingredients you want. Commonly used ingredients: cream cheese, tuna and mayo, cooked spam, cucumbers, pork belly, mushrooms, and imitation crab legs.
