Tasty HOMEMADE Indian mutton fry recipe-SUNDAY SPECIAL
Hey i got tasty Indian mutton fry recipe.
Mutton fry is a lick smacking region of Tamil Nadu, state in south India. Here is a simple yet an interesting recipe for all mutton lovers.
Ingredients :
Mutton - 750g
Turmeric powder - 1 tsp
Cumin seeds - 2 tsp
Coriander seeds - 5 tsp
Poppy seeds - 1 tsp
Bay leaves - 2
Fennel seeds - 1 tsp
Pepper - 1 tsp
Cardamom - 2
Cinnamon - 2 ( small piece)
Red chili - 6
Cloves -6
Star anise - 2
Onion(big) - 2
Tomato - 3
Ginger,garlic paste - 2+2 tsp
Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
Small onion - 15
Ghee - 4 tsp
Salt
Coconut
Oil
Preparation steps :
Mutton fry
Step - 1 :
Take mutton in a pressure cooker then add salt 1/2 tsp, turmeric powder 1/2 tsp, red chili 1/2 tsp and close the lid and cook well.
Step - 2 :
Dry fry each of these ingredients (Cumin seeds, coriander seeds, bay leaves, Fennel seeds, Cardamom, pepper, Cinnamon, red chili, cloves, star anise finally add poppy seeds ) in pan until the moisture is gone or roasted.
Now grind all these ingredients into a powder with pestle or blender.
Step - 3 :
Heat oil and ghee in a pan and add mustard seeds, curry leaves, red chili (2), chopped coconut when they crackle and fry add chopped big onion, small onion and tomatoes fry for few minutes.
Step - 4 :
And add ginger,garlic paste and fry for few seconds until the raw smell goes away. Then add turmeric powder, grind masala and saute for few seconds.
Step - 5 :
Now add cooked mutton along with all the gravy formed while cooking the meat. Season with salt and finally add grind coconut 1/2 cup then mix well. Now cook for few minutes. Serve mutton fry hot with rice.
