I enjoy getting a soursop drink from Caribbean restaurants around here but I've never had the fruit itself. The flavor is a great combo with some spicy curry.

Neither have I but I bet it would work
At a few places around here, Carib and South American, it's served as a drink, blended with milk and sugar syrup.

I love this fruit! I had it almost every day when I was on the Osa peninsula in Costa Rica. If you mix it with a little bit of water and a pinch of sugar, it makes one of the best smoothies ever. I can't seem to find it anywhere here in the SF bay area. Do you know of any places in the US that carries it? The studies you refer to are all in vitro so it would be interesting to see the effects studied in vivo. The ethno medicine is a very interesting subject.
Here's an interesting fact, Michael Weiner studied ethnomedicine in the south pacific Island before he went on to create his controversial radio show The Savage Nation. Too bad he didn't put more time on his research, making a difference and less time blabbing on the radio.
