2.00 tablespoons butterbutter
14.00 ounces chicken brothchicken broth
0.50 teaspoons herbes de provenceherbes de provence
4.00 pounds leg of lambleg of lamb
1.00 oniononion
2.00 pounds potatoespotatoes
1.00 tart appletart apple

Cooking Instructions


Step 1

Place leg of lamb on a rack in a roasting pan. In a small bowl, combine the bread crumbs, butter and seasonings; spread over meat.


Step 2

Place onion in pan; pour broth over onion.


Step 3

Bake, uncovered, at 325° for 1 hour.


Step 4

Add potatoes; bake 30 minutes longer.


Step 5

Add apple; bake 30 minutes longer or until potatoes are tender and meat reaches desired doneness (for medium-rare, a meat thermometer should read 145°; medium, 160°; well-done, 170°).


Step 6

Remove vegetables and apple and keep warm.


Step 7

Let roast stand for 10-15 minutes before slicing.
