Pregnant? Avocado Is The Key

in food •  7 years ago  (edited)

Ancient tribes believed that avocado looked like the womb and the cervix of the female with one swollen seed just like a woman who is pregnant.

In ancient Greece women were eating  2 to 3 avocados a week throughout the pregnancy and it significantly helped them overcoming any complications in delivery as well as shedding unwanted weight gain FAST. It also helped preventing and clearing cervical cancers.

Interestingly, it takes exactly 9 months to grow an avocado from blossom to ripened fruit. Who made this stuff up?? Well it is definitely a sign of Nature!

100 grams serving of an avocado has numerous nutrients, such (thanks to 12 Proven Health Benefits of Avocado): "

  • Vitamin K: 26% of the RDA.
  • Folate: 20% of the RDA.
  • Vitamin C: 17% of the RDA.
  • Potassium: 14% of the RDA.
  • Vitamin B5: 14% of the RDA.
  • Vitamin B6: 13% of the RDA.
  • Vitamin E: 10% of the RDA.
  • Besides it also contains small amounts of Magnesium, Manganese, Copper, Iron, Zinc, Phosphorous, Vitamin A, B1 (Thiamine), B2 (Riboflavin) and B3 (Niacin).

This is coming with 160 calories, 2 grams of protein and 15 grams of healthy fats. Although it contains 9 grams of carbs, 7 of those are fiber so there are only 2 "net" carbs, making this a low-carb friendly plant food."

Thank you for this informative post!
Avocado also helped keep my youngest child off formula. She was a big baby and struggled to gain weight. She looked healthy enough, but I was under enormous pressure to put her on formula (in England, it was hard/impossible to find a formula without soy in it - which is an allergy that runs in my family, beyond the normal objections to formula.)
Upon discussing with my mother (a dietitian by training), we agreed that putting her on avocado mashed with a bit of butter would be the most suitable and least-allergenic food to start giving this not-so-tiny baby. It worked! It filled her enough so that her breastfeedings became more intent and effective... It kept her off formula and helped her to gain weight! It was my miracle. Strangely, she doesn't like avocado at the moment (almost 7 years old), but maybe it's the time to try again to bring this food into our diets.
Thanks again and lykke til!
