Foodie in the Kitchen Series #11 - Coq au Vin

in food •  8 years ago  (edited)

Enjoy this warming Coq au Vin, a French Chicken stew with an incredible red wine broth. Loosely translated 'Cock with Wine' but no one uses Roosters much anymore, so any part of the chicken can be used to create this incredible delicious dish. Enjoy

As always get some color on your chicken to get started

Thanks @ryanblue7s. I appreciate your support. It was very good.

That looks absolutely DELICIOUS!!! I think I would eat all the mushrooms and shallots before they could even make it into the sauce. Having that half Asian in me I would dump that sauce over some Jasmine rice...YUM.

I think I will stick with calling it "Coq au Vin" as where I am from if I invite people over for some "Cock With Wine" the response might not go over so well. lol. Great post and thanks for sharing it!

Lmao! yeah Coq Au Vin is a safe name, you wouldn't want to offend your guest. This goes great with rice, so you would be rice in that pairing. Thanks for visiting.

Wait where is the recipe and cooking directions for those of us that aren't very talented in the kitchen but can follow recipes? Great pictures but share the recipe and instructions for making sure its cooked to perfection please. :D

Here you go @frostyamber you can follow the directions here and there is also a video for further guidance. Thanks for checking out my post.

Awesome, thanks so much for including a video! :D (I'll watch the video, as I'm a visual learner and need all the help I can get with my cooking. :D LOL.)

I'm positive that you'll do just as good as I did. Bon Appetit

Thanks. :D
