Foodie in the Kitchen Series #5 - Slow Cooker Jambalaya

in food •  8 years ago  (edited)

Now I can appreciate that some of you would rather not spend a long time slaving over a stove, so this recipe will serve you justice. If you are all about setting it and forgetting it, then this is the one for you.

Here we have the Mise en place, fancy phrase for getting the ingredients together.

Now that's what I'm talking about!! I love me some jambalaya!! Resteemed from Texas!

I've not had rice in over two months. This post makes me want to make this dish. Yum!

Why have you abstained? New lifestyle change?

Yes. I'm eating ketogenic right now. Pretty much sticking to meat and non starchy veggies. When i get down to my target weight I'll slowly start adding other foods back in. Like rice! :) but in the meantime i could do this pot without the rice. I know. Not the same. Did you add any other seasonings?

oh okay, I should give that a try. Here is a link to the recipe . Salt, Ground Black Pepper, smoked paprika, you can even add cajun seasoning if you have it. You can also add cayenne if you like a little more heat. http://pin.it/YSZqMOU

Thank you!! Please forgive me for not thanking you sooner for the Steem!! I am new to all of this and didn't understand it. I am very grateful!
Keep on cookin'!!
