Hello everyone, today we are making Japanese okonomiyaki. What is okonomiyaki? The original meaning of Osaka-yaki is "cook as you like," so you can easily add your favorite ingredients, such as pork and shrimp, or replace leafy vegetables. Try sprinkling it with shibori slices!
The ingredients we need to prepare are.½ head cabbage 1 carrot 3 green onions 4 tablespoons ketchup 3 tablespoons spicy soy sauce 3 eggs 120 ml water 2 tablespoons soy sauce 1 tablespoon sesame oil 140g flour Vegetable oil (for frying) Black sesame seeds (for plating) Chupi salad dressing (for serving)

Core and shred the cabbage and place in a large bowl. Using a peeler, rub the carrots into the same bowl. Shred the green onions and place in the bowl. In a small bowl, pour ketchup and spicy soy sauce, stir well and set aside.

Pour the eggs, water, soy sauce and sesame oil into the blender and mix well. Add the flour and continue to mix, knowing that the batter has a fine texture.

Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat, then pour oil over the heat. Pour half of the batter into the pan and fry for about 3 minutes on each side. Drizzle Okonomiyaki sauce, black sesame seeds and Japanese mayonnaise over the finished patties and garnish with shredded green onions. Enjoy!
