CAULIFLOWER-BROCCOLI PIZZA RECIPE (fail???)

in food •  7 years ago  (edited)

Today... Today was a good day. Really. Well, if you don't make a pizza the way you want, it's not the end of the world. Or? I was really excited to try this recipe, because the pizza dough was made of cauliflower and broccoli, but then it happened. Again...

Yes. You didn't know? There is NO person whose recipes will be always perfect and made the way they wanted. I'm an amateur in the kitchen, but I'm sure professionals can fail in their best too.

What am I talking about? Well, find out. Everything I can say is that the pizza was... okay... I'm still alive! :'D

I put in a blender a half of cauliflower and half of broccoli, blended it together, added pinch of salt, a half cup of almond flour and one cup of oats. I blended again and at the end I added two eggs.

Since my blender is not strong enough to blend it better, I mixed it with a fork to combine a dough. In the next picture you can see how amazing the dough looked! I was sooo satisfied!

I put it in the oven on 200°C for 20 minutes and that's the moment when everything has gone wrong. I realized it when the pizza was done. But let's move on to the next step.

As toppings I put tomato puree (with spices + oregano), onion, tomatoes, cheese and pizza ham. I baked it for more 20 minutes.

and in the end I put fresh spinache (to look healthier)!

This is the moment I realized that the dough wasn't baked enough. It wasn't crispy at all, but squishy :'D The whole parchment paper was wet. I made a mistake when I was washing cauliflower and broccoli. I didn't dry it at all, so it kept a lot of water.

Was pizza good? Yeah, but I missed crispy pizza. The next time it will be better, I'm sure... We all learn from mistakes.
Even though I wasn't satisfied with the results, I'm posting this, so you can see that even if you fail in the kitchen (or in any other thing) several times, it will be getting better every next time!

Take a look at my other pizza recipe (it's video)
